Love Birds Bracelet

7.75" (fits like a 7.5") Whimsical antique brass bracelet with 2 brass birds, vanilla glass faux pearls, single red glass bead.  This is priced slightly above cost because I scratched a couple of the glass pearls while trying to wire wrap them.  It's still a very cute and fun bracelet, so quite the bargain if you don't care about a couple scratches that only very close inspection would find.  Fortunately, the scratches blend in with the color of the faux pearls.

Special Bracelet

A sweet little lady friend that I used to work with was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months before I stopped working with her back in 2008.  I thought of her more this month than in other months because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and she just completed a race and raised a substantial amount of money towards finding a cure.  In celebration of her strength and spirit, I made her a special silver plated bracelet with a single pink magnesite bead on it, and sent it to her as a surprise.  I wanted to make her something that was different than all the pink ribbon stuff out there, but also something that was meaningful and commemorative.

Birthday Makings

For my birthday, my friend Cheree gave me a gift card to my favorite bead shop, and I bought some very cool things for myself.  So far, I have made 2 things out of my purchase!

This is a wire wrapped pale sea green Fluorite (semi-precious) pendant I made with 24 gauge gold filled wire.  With this simple color palate and design, I know it will become a favorite.  

I also made this necklace for me, which is made with Red Creek Jaspers (the large round beads), Brecciated Jaspers (small red beads) and off white magnesites (all semi-precious).  I bought the gold plated rondelles with my gift certificate too!  I can't decide if I would rather have the Magnesites (off-white) replaced with more Red Creek Jaspers (big round).  On one hand, I love the colors together and the variation the Magnesites provide, but on the other hand, I really want the Red Creek Jaspers to take center stage, not the Magnesites.

Filigree Stamp Earrings

Pretty Aquamarine Bracelet

I made a pair of aquamarine earrings for a girlfriend for her birthday and she liked it so much  she wanted a matching bracelet.  She was with me when I bought the aquamarine beads, so she knows how rare it is to see them in this pretty and unique shade.  She searched and bought a chain she liked and this is the final product.  I think it looks very pretty and the chain couldn't have been more perfect.
