Mother's Day Earrings

In thinking about Mother's Day, I thought I would make some earrings that would make nice Mother's Day gifts.  They could compliment a matching necklace if you'd like to have one made to make a set.

These earrings are made with 4 mm and 6 mm garnets and are 1.25" from the top of the hooks to the bottom of the earrings.

SOLD - $7

These lovely 10mm Amethyst stones hang from a double hoop.  The earrings are 2" in length from top of hooks to bottom of earrings.

"Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire!!"

This 17" necklace is adorned simply with a 14 mm faceted fire agate ball pendant.  Agate is a semi-precious gem, and this one in particular is very cool because it really does look like there is a fire inside the ball!!  The necklace is simple, yet still a conversation starter.

Ladybugs for good luck

If a lady bug lands on you, it's a sign of good luck/fortune.  Having 5 of them means 5 times good luck/fortune, right???  This ladybug bracelet was made as a special request for a toddler girl.

Things reincarnated...

Here are some pieces that I made from reclaimed beads, much thanks to my Aunt Pam. I have had so much fun trying to come up with ways to give the things she had a new look.

This 3 strand necklace and earring set are made with shells from a necklace my Aunt Pam had. It was a typical single strand hawaiian shell necklace. I added the shell coins and the gold colored beads to the collection, and then made it a 3 strand necklace instead of a single strand.

SOLD - $15 for the set

18" Necklace with Onyx and Mother of Pearl pendant, black and lavender accent beads. The pendant came from my Aunt Pam's earring, which lost it's partner.

SOLD - $10 for the set

A lariat not just for cowgirls

This lariat style necklace is made with jet colored fresh water pearls and faceted amethyst colored glass beads. The lariat loop allows the necklace to be worn with the lariat loop closer to the neck or further down to the end of the strand of pearls (furthest length would be about an 18" length necklace). Note, the last two pearls on the end of the lariat are faux pearls, the rest are genuine fresh water pearls.

$35 -SOLD

My aunt's hawaiian puka shell beads get a makeover...

I should have taken a before and after picture, but the before necklace was the typical and ever popular single strand hawaiian puka shell necklace with the white and pink puka shells. She said I could do what I wanted with them, and I did... This is my redo, you can't really see the brown coloring in the turquoise dyed howlites, but they are there. I had a lot of fun trying to come up with a new look for her beads.

This particular one is not for sale, but I can replicate it, just ask!

Reinventing the wheel, so to speak...

My aunt has a vintage necklace where the chain was breaking apart and segments had been lost. I restrung it by breaking apart the chain segments, restructuring the segments, and replacing the attachment pieces to the beads. I added a few faux pearls to give it a bit more length since a portion of the necklace had been lost. This is the end product, all the beads are a baby pink color. I wanted to save the vintage look since that is what I really liked about the necklace to begin with.

Not for sale.

Gems fit for a queen

This 20" necklace, bracelet and earring set is made with genuine amethyst, hematite, and faceted glass beads. The flash made the faceted beads appear more reddish than they really are, they are actually more purplish and is much prettier in person...

Long and bold

This 40" necklace is made with red sponge coral, black faceted beads (round and rectangular) and gray ceramic beads floating on a wire. This is a nice piece for work or play. The detail in the beads are hard to see in the full size pic, so I included a close-up of the beads to give you a better idea of the interesting nature of these beads.

Amazonite dangle earrings

My friend who purchased the Amazonite necklace wanted some earrings to match, so this is the custom design I did for her. The necklace is pictured below the earrings for reference. The color is a little off on the earrings due to the amount of flash/light, but you get the idea, the beads in the earrings are from the same batch as the beads from the necklace, so they are the same colors.

$10 - SOLD

[Brides]maid to Order...

This bracelet and earring set was a custom design request made to order, borrowing from a previous bracelet I did. This bracelet style has been popular. This set would make a nice bridesmaid gift. (Note: I added the silvertoned spacers that match the bracelet pattern into the earrings after I took this picture; another note: the small grey beads look greenish in this pic, but they are actually smoke colored).

$20 for the set, $15 for the bracelet and $5 for the earrings. - This set is sold, similarly made ones can be done though, even a different color scheme.

Decorate your ears!

I know the quality of the pic below is poor, but I had to turn the flash off or all you would see is a blaze of light and nothing else. These are earrings that are designed for those shy ears who occasionally like a little sparkle. These are silver toned oval hoops with a dangling mini disco ball that reflects light just like a disco ball. Just a touch of fun for the more conservative types.

SOLD - $5 - disco ball earrings

The below earrings are made from rose quartz and hematite, both semi-precious stones.
SOLD - $6

The below earrings measure 2.75" and are made from shell coins and faceted hematite beads, they wiggle and jiggle as you move. I think of these as "date night" earrings. There you go married ladies, an excuse to get the hubby out on the town.

Date Night Earrings - $11 - SOLD

DeJa Vu!

The very first bracelet I made (see the very first item/blog post) was such a popular item, I got multiple requests for it. Here is another variation of the same bracelet with slightly different pearl colors. 2 more to make! It's a fun bracelet that can be dressed up with a gown or down with a favorite pair of jeans. I can do this bracelet with a whole different color scheme too.

18" 5 strand gunmetal chain necklace with Leopard Jasper beads (salmon colored semi-precious stones) and matching earrings. The earrings are made with Leopard Jasper too, but also adds Hematite (another semi-precious stone) to match the color/shine of the chain. I thought the pattern of the Leopard Jasper was an interesting mix with the gunmetal chains.
